Admission for a Nursery Place
Our Nursery caters for children from 12 months - 3 year olds. If you would like to visit the nursery prior to completing an application form please contact the Nursery Administrator on 0203 475 5316 or firstname.lastname@example.org
We offer a total of 38 admissions for morning, afternoon and full time at Little Engineers:
- 6 places for 1-year-olds*
- 32 places for 2-year-olds and 3-year-olds
We have different intakes throughout the year, where we advertise on our website and on our social media.
We currently do not have any spaces available for 1-year-olds until July 2020.
The next intake for 2-year-olds will be September 2019. We are now accepting applications.
How to Apply
If you would like to apply for a place at our nursery or add your child's name to the waiting list, please complete and return the Application form along with the supporting documents stated on the form.
Once we have received your application you will be sent an invoice by email with our bank details to pay the registration fee of £50 per child.
We ask that you choose a minimum of 2 days attendance per week.
If you do decide to accept a place we will either arrange a Home Visit or Induction and settling in sessions.
If you are happy for your child to start with us, we will ask for a £100 refundable deposit per child and 1 month of Nursery fees. The £50 registration fee paid will go towards your settling in sessions.
If you are eligible for funding, you do not need to pay these fees. You will need to show proof of Funding for your 2-year-old in the form of a letter from Haringey or your council, and provide an authorisation code if you are claiming 30 hours for your 3-year-old.
Since we are a small nursery there will be times when there are no spaces available. We maintain a waiting list and when a place is available our staff will contact the parents of the next child on the list. This does not guarantee that you will be able to receive your requested days or times.
We regularly review our occupancy, and availability is assessed taking in any leavers or room moves. If your child does not receive a place to start at the requested time, they will remain on the waiting list until a place becomes available. We will aim to give you an update on your position after each review.
* In some circumstances, we may accept your child just below 12 months old. They must be able to meet specific milestones under the Early Years Foundation Stage:
Physical development: Health and self-care
- Holds own cup or bottle
- Attempts to use a spoon: can guide towards mouth but food often falls off.
- Grasps finger foods and brings them to mouth
Physical development: Moving and handling
- Sits unsupported on the floor
- When sitting, can lean forward to pick up small toys
- Takes the first few steps independently
These milestones usually occur between 8-20 months.
