Working with the Community
We believe that it takes a village to raise a child, and we always encourage parent partnership when it comes to your child's development. Below are a few things that we are currently doing to work with the community:
- Monthly Visits to Priscilla Wakefield Nursing Home - Every month we go and visit the residents at the Nursing Home. From the current research on the relationships between the elderly and young children, we thought it would be a good idea for us to spend some time with them. We go and sing with the residents, listen to the residents read, and do some art activities.
- Give leftover food to food banks - Instead of throwing food away, Cheyenne and Saffron will either go around Haringey and give the homeless the food or give it into a food bank.
- Cooking with Hale Delights in Hale Village - Hale Delights allowed us to come and cook some yummy pumpkin cakes. Looking forward to our next cooking activity.
These are only a few things that we are currently doing. We would like to do more, so if you have some ideas please contact us.
